National MEMS Tech Conference Features SMMA-Designed Spaces

The Biomedical MEMS and Sensor Conference, a national gathering of MEMS research leaders, featured an update on the new Richard Desich SMART Commercialization Center for Microsystems and its advanced design for shared lab and clean room facilities designed by SMMA.

Dana Watts of SMMA participated in the conference, held on the campus of Lorrain County Community College (LCCC) where the new SMART Center is being built. The new R&D facility is a highly-anticipated center for producing sophisticated Microelectro Mechanical Systems technology for producing sensors for biotech, biomedical and medical device applications. SMMA provided architecture and engineering design services two class 1000 and two class 100 cleanrooms and a lab suite.
