SMMA Welcomes Jonathan Merin

Jonathan Merin, LEED AP, is SMMA’s newest Project Manager. He brings to the firm extensive knowledge of BIM, as well as familiarity with software programs such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop. He also has a wealth of experience to draw upon, having worked on a variety of project types, including retail, corporate, and check-processing/print facilities.

Ribbon Cut on L.L.Bean Outdoor Discovery Center

July 22, 2014

The L.L.Bean Outdoor Discovery Center, designed by SMMA, opened recently with a ribbon-cutting ceremony along scenic Brickyard Cove in Maine’s Casco Bay. The new Center replaces a series of smaller buildings on the site and serves as a new base lodge for L.L.Bean’s popular guided recreation experiences including kayaking, paddle boarding, snowshoeing, and cycling.

Marie Fitzgerald Honored by IIDA

On June 24, at the annual meeting of the International Interior Design Association's New England Chapter, SMMA's Marie Fitzgerald was presented with a Leadership Award, recognizing her outstanding contributions to both the field of interior design and the organization. This honor can be received only once in an individual’s lifetime, and is not given out every year.
