SMMA is seeking a registered/licensed project architect with 8+ years of experience in planning, construction documents and consultant coordination for life science research laboratory projects.
Qualified candidate has current experience with some of the following facility types: biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, cGMP, scale-up, vivaria, pilot plants or BSL containment facilities. Experience programming lab spaces for corporate or academic clients is desirable.
BArch or MArch degree and professional registration are required. AutoCAD (ADT) or Revit proficiency required.

Candidate will: Coordinate, write, edit and produce resumes, project descriptors, qualification proposals, presentation, award public relations materials, and direct mail campaigsn; Organize and support business development activities; Perform directed research; Coordinate photo shoots; and Maintain data bases and physical and digital marketing files. Bachelor of Arts in English or Liberal Arts with 3-5 years experience in marketing professional services. Project Structural Engineer with a minimum of 5 to 7 years experience in the design of reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry and wood framing systems. Candidate must have a strong sense of structural detailing as it relates to architectural design. Familiarity with various building types including K-12 educational facilities, corporate, commercial and retail buildings, low to mid-rise housing developments and high tech manufacturing and research facilities. Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently with architects, engineers and clients is required. A sound working familiarity with RAM structural software and a basic knowledge of AutoCAD 2006 is a must. BSCE with structural concentration required, PE preferred.
