SMMA’s Higher Education Studio understands that the mission, culture and traditions of a college or university endure not as a passive inheritance but through a dynamic engagement over the arc of time. As architects, engineers, and master planners we are asked to participate in this dialogue through the creation of the physical manifestations of these qualities, and to give form to their transformations as they evolve.
