OPM K-12

SMMA's Project Management Group has managed over $1.8 billion of new and renovated school construction over the past two decades. Our approach to project management begins with transparency and effective communication: By keeping all stakeholders as informed throughout the process as possible, we capitalize on synergistic opportunities and bring projects to successful completions within budget and schedule.

More Than Just a Manager

We operate with an understanding that proper owner project management services require more than just managerial skills. Our value and approach stems from SMMA's multi-discipline composition. We staff a full range of architectural and engineering professionals under one roof, and can deploy them on target and without delay over the life of a project.

Adding Value, Delivering Results

We also provide other key professional services important to developing holistic and comprehensive plans, such as energy assessment, commissioning, facility assessment, and strategic master planning. Combined, this breadth of expertise provides our clients with a deep understanding of both the risks and risk-avoidance strategies crucial to a successful public school construction project.

The new school is located on the open space which now exists as a parking lot between the existing Fuller Middle School and the Farley School. This location makes it possible to eliminate temporary swing space expenses and minimize disruption to ongoing educational activities by leaving the existing school in operation during the construction phase.
