Lyceum Fellowship Honored by AIA

SMMA is excited to announce that the Lyceum Fellowship was awarded the 2015 AIA Institute Award for Collaborative Achievement at the annual American Institute of Architects Convention, held last week in Atlanta.

Jon McKee—our founder, mentor, and friendwould have been so proud. The Lyceum Fellowship remains one of our most treasured links to Jon, and embodies his philanthropic spirit and desire to help young designers grow.

This year’s competition brought together many notable talents, led and authored by Charles Renfro, AIA. First prize was awarded to Jiawei Mai, from the University of Oregon, for his submission, titled, “Integrate Me Softly.” For more on the competition, jury, and winning submissions, please visit the Lyceum Fellowship website.

Also, a short documentary movie was created to showcase the 2013 competition, titled, “A Call to Action.” The film highlights the Lyceum’s core mission from the perspective of its Board members and that year’s program authors and jury.

SMMA looks forward to supporting the Lyceum for the next 30 years and beyond, as we continue to celebrate Jon’s legacy and the Fellowship's ongoing mission.
