SMMA Wins First Project at UNC Chapel Hill

SMMA has won its first project at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The project is a renovation of 208 W. Franklin Street, which is home to the Development Office of the University. The scope of service includes interior design on four floors in order to accommodate an additional 26 people for the Campaign for Carolina fund raising effort.

Cole Named Verified High-Performance School

The Archie R. Cole Middle School in East Greenwich, Rhode Island was one of two Ocean State schools to be recognized as "Verified High-Performance Schools," as designated by the Northeast Collaborative for High-Performance Schools and the Rhode Island Department of Education.

“Cantasia” Is SMMA's Entry to CANstruction 2013

SMMA participated in CANstruction Boston, an annual charity event wherein A/E/C firms from Greater Boston compete in building sculptures made entirely of canned goods. This year’s CANstruction had a Hollywood theme: “Lights, Camera, Action!”

SMMA has been chosen to design the new Business School at Providence College, following a detailed process that included an invited, two-stage competition among seven prominent design firms. The winning SMMA scheme defines an interior Landscape of Learning formed on one side by a repurposed dormitory, Dore Hall.
