Darling and McCormack Announced as Principals at SMMA

SMMA has announced two promotions to the role of principal: architect and Design Technology Manager Dave Darling, and Director of Administration Heather McCormack.
The International Interior Design Association New England Chapter installed their new 2012-2013 Chapter Board. The new Board members were nominated and elected by the Professional Members of the IIDA New England Chapter and were formally inducted at the Chapter’s Annual Meeting held at the Red Thread + Steelcase offices and showroom in South Boston.
Congratulations to all of the 2012 SMMA Fund award recipients! The SMMA Fund is a charitable foundation created by the firm to support the communities where SMMA works and fund charitable activities by SMMA employees.
Together with the project team—SMMA and Columbia Construction Company—The Salvation Army of Massachusetts celebrated the completion of their new addition and renovations at their Cambridge Corps location. In attendance were civic and community leaders, along with local Salvation Army Divisional Leaders, Majors David and Naomi Kelly.
The Biomedical MEMS and Sensor Conference, a national gathering of MEMS research leaders, featured an update on the new Richard Desich SMART Commercialization Center for Microsystems and its advanced design for shared lab and clean room facilities designed by SMMA.
