Focus on Community

“I have always enjoyed working on school projects,” says Chris. “There’s a tangible sense that we are contributing to the community, and that our work is creating an environment for students to thrive.”

Chris takes pride in designing sites that are both functional and aesthetic for end users. One design that stands out for him is the new Bancroft Elementary School in Andover. “The challenge was to create a secondary access road to the school through a very sensitive neighborhood. The goal was to improve safety and circulation for the school, while creating a rural drive that was aesthetic and maintained the area’s natural beauty. The drive and surrounding area came out great, and the community has really embraced it.”

Relationship Building

“Building and maintaining client relationships is first and foremost,” explains Chris. “By consistently demonstrating sound engineering judgment and delivering an exceptional end product, it shows clients that I have their best interests in mind. Developing this trust allows for more innovative design approaches and can lead to a long-term client partnership. Seeing a site or facility transform through various projects over time is very rewarding.”
