Focus on Development

Tracey recently earned Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) status, an achievement that elevates professional standards, enhances individual performance, and demonstrates essential knowledge in professional services marketing. Through this certification, which requires proficiency in six domains of practice (marketing research, planning, client and business development, proposals, promotional activities, and management), she has established herself as a professional who has brought necessary strategy, communications, and development to SMMA. She has also helped create a culture of knowledge-sharing:

“Over the past year, we’ve built up our available firmwide resources even more to make standards and codes more readily accessible than they’ve ever been. The next step is reorganizing everything to be more streamlined and intuitive. It’s a process that requires continuous improvement. I’ve enjoyed gaining an understanding of the tools and resources needed by our staff to accomplish our projects.”


Tracey applies her goal-setting motivation both in and out of the office.

"My mom and I set out to hike every 4,000-foot mountain in New Hampshire,” she says. “There are 48 in all, and we finally finished the list this year! I’ve enjoyed planning and crossing things off a list, and, of course, hiking. It’s been a fun adventure, and an even more rewarding achievement."
