SMMA was on hand on October 2 for the ribbon cutting of the newly refurbished Hogan Regional Center in Danvers, a Department of Developmental Services site that serves adults with intellectual disabilities. DDS commissioner Elin Howe led a group of numerous state dignitaries at the event.
A design build collaboration between SMMA and J.C. Cannistraro, LLC, the project represented a completely new energy system for the 170-bed facility wherein a nearby power plant burning #6 fuel oil was decommissioned and replaced by clean-burning natural gas boilers in each building.
On the occasion of the first game of the women's hockey team at Providence College, there will be a gala event on the evening of Friday, September 27, to celebrate the grand reopening of Schneider Arena. The extensive new three-story addition to the existing hockey arena, designed by SMMA, included renovation of support spaces and arena, full utility upgrades, and new landscaping.
