Elevation to Fellowship is an honor awarded to AIA members who have made significant contributions to the architecture profession and society on a national level.

New Wellesley High School Celebrates Early Opening

March 6, 2012

SMMA’s Wellesley High School design team joined town officials, students, faculty and residents to celebrate the opening of Wellesley’s new 280,000-square-foot high school. As class of ’40 and ’41 alumni ceremoniously turned out the lights in the old gymnasium, more than 1400 students walked from the old gymnasium to begin school in the adjacent new building. Scheduled to open in September, the new $115M high school was completed six months early and on budget.

Quincy High School Design Honored by National School Boards Association

February 6, 2012

The National School Boards Association and the American Institute of Architects awarded a citation for design innovation to SMMA for the planning and design of the new Quincy High School. The project will be featured in the Exhibition of School Architecture at the NSBA 72nd Annual Conference and Exposition in Boston on April 21-22.
